Quick Answer
My wife and I just spent a full week at Sandals Saint Vincent and this is the most beautiful Sandals resort I've been to. The attention to detail they put into this property has set a brand new bar for the Sandals 2.0 experience. I resort sits in a valley between two mountains, so the views from any spot blew me away. It's a sweet spot for couples who want a brand new resort, next-level villas (hello, two-story overwater), and a slightly more adventurous Caribbean destination. If you want big crowds, a huge beach, or a short direct flight from the U.S., this one might not be your top pick — and I'll explain everything below.

My Experience at Sandals Saint Vincent
If you've been following my channel, you know I'm picky about my resorts. I've been to a bunch of them. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from Saint Vincent going in — I’d heard it’s “heaven on earth,” but was waiting to experience myself. By the end of our week, I was telling my wife this one might be my new favorite.
What stuck with me wasn't just one thing. It was the several details stacking up over seven days. The mountains surrounding the resort on both sides. The skinny pool in the center with the swim-up bar. The two-story overwater villas on the far side of the property that I'd never seen anywhere else in the Sandals portfolio. The fact that even when a rain shower rolled through, we'd just stay at the pool, take a dip, and nap under the umbrellas because everything was still so beautiful.
We stayed in a Club Level Swim-up Suite in the Bamboo Palm building, ate at nearly every restaurant on property, did a nature hike up to a parrot canopy, snorkeled a bat cave right off the resort, and spent most afternoons at the Parisol Pool on the beach. Below is everything I noticed — the good, the honest critiques, and the tips I wish I'd had before booking.
Pros & Cons of Sandals Saint Vincent
What I Loved
The level of detail. Sandals 2.0 is a real step up here. From the lobby, to the plaza, to the Parisol Beach Club, every space feels designed for a next-level experience.
The setting. Mountains on both sides, a calm bay in front, and lush greenery everywhere. You feel like you're tucked into nature.
Scrimshaw. The seafood restaurant became my favorite spot on property. The filet with horseradish cream kept pulling me back.
The Parisol Pool. Two curved infinity pools that look like half of a Wi-Fi signal from above, sitting right up on the beach. Pure vibes.
Three Jewels Rum Bar. Hands down my favorite hangout at the resort — rum flights, old fashioneds, karaoke at night.
New-to-Sandals room types. In-suite media rooms, in-suite fitness rooms, two-story overwater villas, Sky Villa Rondovals. These are totally new to the Sandals portfolio.
A Few Things to Consider
The beach is smaller. It's a lovely calm cove, but if you've been to Sandals Royal Barbados or Grande St. Lucian, you'll notice the beach has less room to spread out.
Buccan wasn't my favorite. The communal dining experience is a cool concept, but the food wasn't a win for me.
The flight is a project. Argyle International is 45 minutes to an hour from the resort over winding roads, and most U.S. travelers connect through Miami.
Parisol Pool chairs can go fast. It's the one spot on property where chair-hunting is a real thing. More on that below.
Who Sandals Saint Vincent Is (and Isn't) Right For
I'd Recommend Sandals Saint Vincent for...
Couples who've been to a few Sandals and want something new. The Sandals 2.0 details, the in-suite media/fitness rooms, and the overwater villas are a genuine upgrade.
Honeymooners who want a stunning setting. The mountains, the overwater chapel, and the resort's elevated feel make this a top honeymoon pick.
Divers. I met several guests who said this was some of the best diving they'd done at any Sandals.
Villa people. If you want a private pool, a media room, or just something different, Saint Vincent has a cool butler villa lineup.
Nature buffs. The island itself is beautiful, and the included hikes and nature excursions are a different flavor than the typical Caribbean beach stay.
Sandals Saint Vincent Is NOT Ideal For...
First-time Caribbean travelers who want a short, cheap flight. Getting to Argyle takes planning.
Travelers who need a huge sprawling beach. The main beach is smaller than some other Sandals.
Guests on the tightest budget. This is a brand-new, elevated property — rates reflect that.
Arrival, Location & Airport Transfer
You'll fly into Argyle International Airport (SVD), which is a 45-minute to one-hour drive from the resort. Sandals includes free round-trip transportation in the price of your stay.
Tip: Know your arrival options before you book. There are actually three ways to get to the resort:
Included shuttle van — great for most people, totally comfortable, no cost.
Private luxury SUV transfer — around $190 to $200 per way. We did this on the way in, and I loved it. I was tired from the flight, and getting rocked around the curves in a quiet SUV was almost like a nap.
Private ferry — if you book a Butler-level room, you can opt to be taxied to the harbor from the airport and then brought around the island by boat to the resort. This is a huge upgrade experience.
Why does this matter? The roads here are windy, and if you (or your spouse) are prone to motion sickness, being high up in a van isn't the most comfortable ride.
Once you arrive, the Sandals team greets you with songs, fresh cool towels, and a welcome drink. Check-in is quick — I don't think we ever waited more than 10 to 15 minutes. Luxury-level rooms check in at the main lobby; Club Level rooms check in around the corner at the Club Sandals lounge, where your concierge will meet you and escort you to your room.
Rooms & Accommodations
If I had to put a map of Sandals Saint Vincent down on a table, I'd divide the rooms into four distinct areas. Here's how I'd break it down.
1. Bamboo Palm & Lady Palm Buildings (Budget-Friendly Rooms)
This is a cluster of four buildings along one side of the resort, and it's where most of your more budget-friendly rooms live. We actually stayed here, and what surprised me is that even though these are the "cheaper" rooms, the views are still gorgeous — especially from the balcony looking out at the mountains.
The categories to know in these buildings:
Lady Palm Club Suite with Fitness Room — a Sandals first (in-suite fitness room)
My personal favorite: the Club Level Swim-up Room on the ground floor of Bamboo Palm. We'd spend the day at the pool or beach, then come back in the afternoon and have our own private swim space right outside the door. If you want a swim-up without the villa price tag, this is the sweet spot.
Quick Note: Sandals Saint Vincent is the first Sandals to put in-suite media rooms and fitness rooms in some of these buildings. If you've got a workout habit you want to keep on vacation, that's a cool option.
2. The Rondovals
Rondovals are those circular villas that usually sit near a pond — super secluded, really romantic. Saint Vincent has them listed as room categories (including a Rondoval Sky Villa with a rooftop area), but during our stay they weren't quite ready yet. They were being built near the front of the resort, closer to the main lobby. As of fall 2026, they are open, so you can snag one online!
These are perfect if you want something really secluded and want to splurge for something special, but you don’t want to spend at the overwater-villa level
3. Butler Villas
These line one side of the resort — some tucked into the middle near the pools, others right up on the beachfront, following the road around toward the overwater villas. There's a wide range here, which is nice because it opens up a bunch of price points:
Butler Villa Suite (studio-style with a small patio and tranquility soaker tub — the entry-level butler)
One-Bedroom w/Private Pool (with or without media room)
The beachfront villas with private pools are, in my opinion, the nicest in the lineup. Your pool backs right up to the beach and you get an incredible patio view.
Quick Tip: This is one of the resorts where pool chairs can sometimes be a thing to get up early for, especially at the Parisol pools. If you want to sleep in but still get the best seats, these suites will be the cheapest butler options. You’ll then have butlers who can help you snag those chairs!
4. Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas
The Vincy Overwater Two-Story Villas, and these are the first time Sandals has gone all-in on a two-story overwater experience. They come with a rooftop space, full-size deck and (of course) the see through floor at the foot of your bed.
I actually lucked out and got to tour one, which usually doesn't happen often because these are almost always booked. There's a hefty price tag attached, and they book out several years in advance. If you want one, you have to plan way ahead.
Tips on Room Selection
Tip: If you want a swim-up on a budget, go Club Level Bamboo Palm. It was our favorite part of our stay.
Tip: If you want to lock in prime pool chairs without stressing, book a Butler villa. Your butler will reserve them for you at 6 AM (more on the chair scoop below).
Tip: If you have the budget, the Beachfront Butler Villas with Private Pool are the sweet spot — just below the Vincy villas in price but still spectacular.
Restaurants and Dining at Sandals Saint Vincent
Sandals Saint Vincent has 12 specialty restaurants, and I'm giving the overall dining experience five stars. We stayed a full seven days, and I felt like there was always something a little different to try.
The restaurants are grouped into two main areas: The Plaza (over by the main pool) and the Parisol Beach Club (out by the beach). Let me walk you through both.
The Plaza (By the Main Pool)
The plaza is a larger open area with lots of lounge seating, an outdoor bar, and a stage at night. It doubles as an outdoor event space — we caught silent discos, live bands, and dancing happening there. Beautiful setup.
Buccan — Caribbean Fire & BBQ (Dinner Only)
Buccan is one of the two restaurants on property that requires a reservation, and it's the harder one to book because it's family-style. There are only a few tables, two seatings a night (6:00 and 8:30), and you'll sit with a group of other guests while large plates of local dishes are brought out — think whole fish, that kind of thing.
Honest take: This wasn't my favorite restaurant. My wife enjoyed the food a bit more than I did. BUT — I did love the experience of sitting with other guests, talking to them, hearing where they were from. It's worth doing at least once. Just maybe schedule it for a night you're feeling a bit more adventurous.
Jerk Shack — Caribbean & Jerk (Lunch & Dinner)
If you watch my channel, you already know Jerk Shack is one of my favorite Sandals lunch spots. Jerk chicken is the staple, but the fish in foil and the festival bread are what keep me coming back. Festival bread is this fried cornbread that I always compare to a corn dog without the hot dog — it's just fun to munch on with your jerk chicken.
Also try the Jamaican jerk patty.
Shoutout: We had a fantastic waitress named Shaniah who made my wife a special drink she calls a "bitter lemon." If you end up at Jerk Shack, ask for her.
Blum — Coffee & Pastries (6 AM–10 PM)
The newer Sandals 2.0 café concept. Pastries, ice cream, and coffee. My personal favorite is the Jamaican coffee with rum cream — makes me happy any day. We'd often slip over from Three Jewels after a late night for a pick-me-up.
Gatsu Gatsu — Sushi & Izakaya (Dinner Only)
I'm not a huge sushi guy, but my wife loves sushi, so we had to make it over at least once. The mochi ice cream was her favorite thing. For non-sushi folks, there are chicken skewers and beef skewers that are solid.
Three Jewels Rum Bar
This was my favorite hangout at the resort outside of the pool. Rums from all over that you can sample, old fashioneds done right, and around 10 PM they start serving appetizers — the fries with the special mayonnaise and the sliders and chicken bites are a win. There's Scrabble and Dominoes available, and my favorite nights were karaoke nights.
Tip: Try the Sunset Rum — carefully. It's a local Saint Vincent rum at 84.5 proof. If someone offers you a shot, just know what you're getting into.
The Parisol Beach Club (By the Beach)
[Image: Parisol Beach Club deck over koi pond at Sandals Saint Vincent]
Over at the other end of the resort is the Parisol Beach Club, where several more restaurants are clustered — plus the main bar for the Parisol Pool area.
Imoro — Salads & Grain Bowls (Lunch)
Also known as the "green machine." Chipotle-ish salad builds. Honest take: Not my favorite, but it's a nice light option for lunch if you had a heavy breakfast.
Isola — Neapolitan Pizza (Lunch & Late Night)
One of my favorite spots. I'd only had this concept at Sandals Dunn's River before — most other Sandals have a different pizza style. The jerk chicken pizza here is just amazing. I've talked to multiple other guests who ate it once and then kept coming back for it. We'd grab a slice poolside every other day.
Sora — Italian (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Breakfast and lunch at Sora is the buffet, and we were really impressed with it — great omelet station, all the staples. Dinner, it becomes the Italian à la carte experience. The chicken parm is huge and really tasty. I'd rank this buffet as one of the best I've had at any Sandals.
Butch's Island Chop House — Steakhouse (Dinner, Reservations Required)
This is the one restaurant you'll want to dress up a little for, and it's the restaurant everybody who stays at Sandals loves. When I have clients asking about different Sandals resorts, one of their first questions is: "Is there a Butch's at this one?" The steak is amazing, and it's one of my favorite dishes on property. Reservations required.
Scrimshaw — Seafood (Breakfast & Dinner)
This became hands down my favorite restaurant during our week-long stay. You cross a deck over a beautiful koi pond to get there, so you're already in a stunning setting before you even sit down.
The breakfast menu is à la carte and solid, but the dinner menu is where this place shines. The dish that kept me coming back? The filet mignon on horseradish cream. It had this white horseradish cream that it sits on — I had it my first night and then had to come back near the end of our stay to have it again. If you only go to one restaurant twice at Sandals Saint Vincent, make it this one.
Crema — Coffee & Island Ice Cream (6 AM–10 PM)
This is the second coffee shop on property — the only other Sandals with two coffee shops is Sandals Ochi. Crema is great for grabbing a coffee and water on your way to lock down a Parisol Pool chair at 6 AM (more on that in a second).
Parisol Beach Club Restaurant (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
For breakfast, I'd recommend the bread pudding if you want something sweeter — steak and eggs is their staple, but the bread pudding won me over. For lunch, the buffalo chicken sandwich was full of flavor. For dinner, the burger is great, and we got a coffee cake for dessert that was really good.
Shoutout: Our waitress Chevy was fantastic. If you dine here, ask for her.
Bars
Nine bars total, including the lobby bar with the piano, the Three Jewels Rum Bar, the swim-up bar at the main pool, and the main Parisol Beach Club bar — which is my favorite spot to just chill and relax at the resort.
My Overall Dining Verdict
Scrimshaw and Butch's are my hands-down dinner winners. For lunch, Isola's jerk chicken pizza and Jerk Shack were in the heaviest rotation. The buffet at Sora was legitimately one of the best I've had at any Sandals. Overall — five stars.
Pools & Beach Experience at Sandals Saint Vincent
The resort has four pools (plus a dedicated scuba pool and a couple of whirlpools). Here's a rundown.
1. The Main Pool
This is the centerpiece — and Sandals is really leaning into the skinny pool concept here. I dig it. It's unique, cool to look at, and the mountains flank you on both sides as you float. The main swim-up bar is here, and there are events going on through the late morning and afternoon — trivia, music, DJs. Lively but still relaxing.
2. The Crescent Pool
A smaller, quieter pool behind the main pool. Honestly, this was the least-used pool during our stay. If you want quiet without going all the way to the quiet pool, it's an option.
3. The Quiet Pool
Over near the spa, shaped like a heart, with cabanas and loungers in the water. Perfect if you want to read a book without music or events happening.
4. The Parisol Pool
This is new. Sandals hasn't done this before. The Parisol Pool is two curved pools set right up on the beach that from above look like half of a Wi-Fi signal. You can take a dip in your pool, listen to the waves, and look straight out at the ocean. This is probably my favorite spot on the resort — such a beautiful view and so relaxing.
The Beach
Honest take: The beach is smaller than some other Sandals I've been to. But the water is super clear, it's in a calm bay (great for snorkeling), and there are actually a few different beach sections to find your spot:
The main beach in front of the main pool
A smaller section past the Parisol Pool
A secluded quiet beach on the far side of the wedding chapel, near the overwater villas — I always found seats open over there
The Weekly Beach Party
One of the coolest add-ons: every week (Thursday or Friday) they do a beach party with a full bar on the beach, a kayak filled with ice-cold beer, a buffet, high-top tables everywhere, and a lot of performances — steel drum band, dancers, and fire performers, which was really cool to see. Hours of dancing and singing. Highly recommend.
The Scoop on the Chair Situation (Yes, Really)
If you're like me, before your trip you probably scrolled Reddit and Facebook groups and saw a lot of chatter about chair-hunting at Sandals Saint Vincent. Here's my honest take: it's really not that big of a deal.
The chair stress only kicks in at the Parisol Pool, because there's a limited number of chairs around those two curved pools with ocean views. At the main pool and on the beach, there were chairs available all day, every day — we never saw guests wandering around looking for a seat.
How the Protocol Works
Sandals has a rule: you can't save a seat before 6:00 AM.
At 6:00 AM sharp, you can throw towels and a personal item down to claim your chair.
At the Parisol Pool, this rule is actively enforced. On several mornings a manager came out around 5:45 AM to announce it.
You'll see a few butlers out early to lock down prime spots for their guests, and a few early-rising guests waiting to claim their own.
It wasn't a mad rush. No one was sprinting. But if you want those Parisol chairs, be there by 6.
Tip: Know the chair landscape before you book. If prime Parisol spots are important to you, book a Butler-level room so your butler can grab them for you. If you're a morning person, you can snag them yourself. Or go the route we did — a Club Level Swim-up Room so you've got your own private swim space to come back to in the afternoon.
Activities, Water Sports & Entertainment
One of the best things about any Sandals is how much is free included — put your wallet away. Saint Vincent has one of the deepest included-activity lineups I've seen.
Water Sports (Free Included)
Scuba diving — up to two free dives per day if you're PADI certified. I met several avid divers who said this was some of the best diving they'd done at any Sandals. There's also a dedicated scuba pool for training.
Snorkeling — including guided snorkel trips.
Hobie Cats — my personal favorite. They'll give you lessons, and eventually you can take one out solo. My wife and I love to take one out on a calm day and just enjoy the water.
Kayaks, paddleboards, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and glass-bottom boat rides — all at the Aqua Center on the main beach.
Land Sports & Entertainment
Pickleball, bocce, cricket, beach volleyball, table tennis, shuffleboard, croquet
TechnoGym-equipped fitness center + classes
Nightly entertainment — live bands, silent discos, karaoke at Three Jewels, the weekly beach party
Excursions (Extra Cost — Through Island Routes)
Island Routes is the official excursion provider for all Sandals resorts, and I've honestly never been disappointed with one of their experiences. The Island Routes kiosk is over by the Parisol Beach Club.
The two experiences we did:
Snorkeling trip to a bat cave (booked through the Club lounge, not Island Routes) — the reef is right around the corner from the resort and the bat cave is just offshore. Really cool.
Vermont Trail Nature Hike (through Island Routes) — about three hours, with a great guide named Elroy. You hike about 1,400 feet up to a parrot canopy lookout that's beautiful. More of a leisurely nature hike than a strenuous climb. If you want birds, forest, and a mellow pace, this is a great pick.
Other popular excursions you'll see on the Island Routes menu:
La Soufrière Volcano Hike — the most popular excursion on the island. Books up fast. Book it in advance in the Sandals app.
Mustique Island-Hopping — catamaran out to Mustique and the Grenadines, with snorkeling, island time, a stop at a ritzy bar, and you might cruise past a few celebrity houses.
Botanical Gardens, Fort Charlotte, Kingstown walking tour
Tip: Make Island Routes bookings in the app before you arrive. The volcano hike books up weeks out.
What's Included (and What's Not)
What's Included
All meals at all 12 specialty restaurants + buffet
All drinks, premium liquors, included wines
Round-trip airport transfer
Free Wi-Fi throughout the property
All water sports listed above (including scuba for certified divers)
Pickleball, land sports, fitness center, classes
Nightly entertainment, weekly beach party
Red Lane Spa amenities: steam room, sauna, cold plunge pool, hydrotherapy pool, locker room
Free professional photo session (book through the Epics photo shop)
What Costs Extra
Spa treatments at Red Lane Spa (massages, facials, couples' treatments). Access to the pools, steam, sauna, and cold plunge is free — the treatments are the add-on.
Island Routes excursions (volcano hike, Mustique, nature hikes)
Cabana rentals at the main pool — ~$150 a day. Comes with an ice chest and a butler. If you want a taste of butler service without booking a butler room, this is a cool play.
Butler tipping (Butler tier only — standard across Sandals)
Private SUV transfer (if you upgrade from the included shuttle)
Boutique shop purchases at the Beach House resort shop — nice swag but marked up on forgotten essentials
Snuba (listed as the one extra-fee water sport)
Pro Tips on Add-Ons
Tip: Book your spa massage for your first day. My wife and I always get a massage early so we're relaxed before any sunburn, and so we're loose for the rest of the stay. You can book it in the Sandals app before you arrive.
Tip: Make dining reservations in the app 7 days before your arrival. The two reservation-required restaurants (Buccan and Butch's) can book up quickly, especially Buccan.
Tip: The free photo session is worth it. Photographers wander the property, you book a session, and you only pay for pictures you want. It's a nice honeymoon or anniversary keepsake.
Final Verdict: Is Sandals Saint Vincent Worth It?
Yes. Hands down. This is the most beautiful Sandals resort I've been to, and I've been to a lot of them.
Who will love it: Couples who want the newest, most detailed Sandals; honeymooners who want a stunning backdrop; villa lovers (especially overwater); divers; nature buffs; guests who've been to a few Sandals and want a genuine next-step experience.
Who should look elsewhere: Travelers who want a short direct flight, a huge beach, or the absolute lowest Sandals price point. Those travelers might be happier at Sandals Negril or Sandals Dunn's River.
For my wife and me, this stay set a new bar for what Sandals 2.0 can be. The level of detail across the resort — the plaza, the Parisol Pool, the restaurants, the villas — just feels thought-through in a way that older Sandals properties sometimes don't.
Planning Tips & Booking Advice
A few quick things I wish I'd known going in:
Best time to visit: Shoulder season (late April–early June, late October–mid December) is the sweet spot — great weather, lower rates, lower crowds.
Best value room: Club Level Bamboo Palm Swim-up. You get swim-up access and Club perks without the Butler villa price.
Worth upgrading to: Beachfront Butler Villa with Private Pool — if the budget allows, these are the sweet spot below the overwater villas.
Rooms to think twice about (for now): Rondovals aren't quite ready as of our stay — if you're set on one, confirm availability before booking.
Book Buccan or Butch's as soon as the 7-day reservation window opens in the Sandals app.
If motion sickness is a concern, upgrade to the private SUV transfer. Or look at a Butler room, since they have the ferry transfer.
For the best chair at the Parisol Pool, book a Butler room — or set an alarm for 5:45 AM.

FAQs About Sandals Saint Vincent
-
Yes — like all Sandals Resorts, Sandals Saint Vincent is adults-only (18+) and designed for couples. If you're traveling with kids, Beaches Resorts are the family-friendly sister brand.on text goes here
-
About 45 minutes to one hour from Argyle International Airport (SVD). Round-trip transportation is included — a shared van. You can also upgrade to a private luxury SUV (around $190–$200 per way) or, with a Butler-level booking, a private ferry transfer by boat.
-
The main beach is smaller than at larger Sandals resorts like Royal Barbados or Grande St. Lucian, but the water is beautifully clear and calm (great for snorkeling). There are also two smaller beach sections — one past the Parisol Pool and a secluded one near the overwater chapel — that give you more spread-out options.
-
Honestly, overblown. The only tight spot is the Parisol Pool, where there's limited chair capacity because of the pool layout. Chairs can't be saved before 6:00 AM, and butlers often grab prime spots for their guests at that time. At the main pool and the beach, chairs were available all day during our full week.
